Virtual call centres set for growth

Arise Virtual Solutions is expanding rapidly in the UK in 2009. The company requires at least 1,000 new home-based workers in 2009, with an immediate need for 500, giving people from all sectors of society a chance to build their own business around their personal requirements.

Arise, which has been in operation in the UK since mid-2008, already has contracts with a number of respected household brands that include Interval Leisure Group and Shop Direct Group, whose flagship brands include Great Universal and Littlewoods.

The home-based solution provides an alternative to the traditional call centre model. Operating as individual small businesses, Arise Certified Professionals enjoy the benefits of working from home and choosing the hours they want.

Shop Direct customer experience director Nicola Collister said: “Our business is rapidly changing because the way our customers choose to shop with us is changing. The Arise model provides us with all this flexibility and more. We are pleased to be at the forefront of this shift in industry practices. The access to a talented pool of flexible home-based workers has been a logical step in our ongoing development as an online-led retail company”
