A brand new call centre to be built in Ashford, Kent, for AXA Health Care will employ 600 staff.

The green light has been given for developers Wimpey, to begin work on the Repton Park brownfield site in Ashford on behalf of the insurer.

The AXA proposals include two new, three-storey buildings with landscaping and the provision of 205 parking space and 70 cycle spaces.

Both main buildings will utilise solar thermal panels to generate hot water and re-use rainwater for flushing toilets.

When the whole planned development is completed, Repton Park which covers 50 hectares will include 1,250 new homes and new community facilities such as shops, a school, doctor’s surgery and a community centre.
