The cloud offers savings for insurer

Moving two million records to the cloud will benefit customers, says insurer The Phoenix Group

A project to shift its two million customer records to a single, cloud-based platform will save money and offer an enhanced experience for customers claims the firm.
 
The project, carried out in conjunction with outsourcing specialist Diligenta, has seen Phoenix abandon a number of disparate legacy system, with the aim of giving service staff faster access to complete customer histories. 


Tony Kassimiotis, managing director, operations for Phoenix says the move is ‘great news’ for customers, outlining a number of other planned benefits. 

 

“Our policyholders will have, in due course, full access to self service and on-line request services through the Internet," he said. "They will also see a reduction in turnaround times when asking questions about their policies.”
